Sardar Patel School

Our school sits in Village Sirchopi, right near the Agasod post office. If you are looking for us, we are out in the Bina tehsil of Sagar district. We even have our own post box number, which is number one, because we've been here for a while. It’s a rural setting, so things move a bit slower than they do in the big cities. Most of the kids walk here from the surrounding farms and small houses. You can usually find a few cycles leaned up against the wall near the entrance. The building itself is plain, just some classrooms and a small office where we keep the records. We spend a lot of time dealing with the usual school stuff, like organizing the morning assembly or checking the attendance books. Since we are in Dist Sagar, we get the typical weather, very dry and hot sometimes. The teachers here are mostly locals who know everyone’s name and which family they belong to. It’s a tight-knit place. We don't have fancy websites or big billboards. People know where Sardar Patel School is because their cousins or siblings came here before. We just try to keep the place tidy and make sure the children are actually sitting in their seats and listening. Sometimes the cows wander too close to the gate, but that’s just life in Sirchopi. We are just a regular village school doing what needs to be done every day for the kids.
