Wendy Public High School

Wendy Public High School is situated at 14, Ashoka Road in Sagar. It’s an older part of town, and the school has been a fixture on this street for quite some time. The building has a bit of character, with walls that we have to paint every few years to keep things looking decent. If you walk down Ashoka Road in the morning, you’ll see the students in their uniforms walking or coming on cycles. We don’t have a massive bus fleet, so most kids are from nearby. Inside, the rooms are filled with old wooden benches and desks that have probably seen hundreds of students over the years. We don't have a lot of high-tech gadgets or fancy screens. Our teachers mostly use blackboards and talk to the students directly. It’s a very hands-on way of doing things. The office is usually a bit messy with stacks of papers and old records because there’s always something to file or a form to fill out for the education department. When the rainy season hits Sagar, we sometimes have to deal with leaks or damp walls, but we just manage it like everyone else does. We aren’t trying to be the most modern school in the state. We just want to provide a place where the local kids can come, sit down, and actually focus on their studies without too many distractions. It’s a quiet, steady kind of place most days for the people living around here.
