Vaishno Punjabi Dhaba

You will find us at Booth No. 28 in Phase-10 of Mohali, which is also called Sas Nagar. We are right across from the PCA Stadium, so whenever there is a cricket match, the whole area gets completely packed with people. Vaishno Punjabi Dhaba is a small booth, but we manage to do a lot of work in that limited space. We also serve people coming from Chandigarh since we are right on the edge of the two areas. The atmosphere here is very casual and can get quite loud when the stadium is busy. We have a few tables outside on the pavement where people like to sit when the weather is nice. Inside, the kitchen is a hive of activity with someone always busy at the stove. We make a lot of traditional Punjabi dishes that people in Mohali expect. It is not a fancy restaurant by any means. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint and the chairs are just basic plastic ones. We focus on getting the food out fast because people are often in a hurry to get back to work or catch a game. The staff is just a small group of guys who have been working here for years. We don't have a mission statement or anything corporate. We just open the shutters every morning and start cooking for the neighborhood.
