It’s a busy stretch of road in Shanmugapuram, and we see a lot of tractors and trucks passing by every single day. We are based in Ipedu Kil Motur, which is a part of Ranipet that everyone around here knows. Our group is made up of local farmers from across the Vellore area. We decided to set this up because it made sense to work as a team rather than everyone struggling on their own. The office isn't much to look at, just a few desks and some chairs where we sit down to discuss the season's plans. There is always a lot of noise from the main road, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy speeches. We just know about seeds, soil, and how to get things to the market. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit outside in the shade for a bit. It’s the kind of place where you can just walk in and talk to someone. We deal with real problems, like pests or transport costs, every day. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from dawn till dusk. We are just a group of neighbors trying to keep the farms going in this corner of the state. It is hard but it is what we know and we just keep going.
