You can find us out at Rampally Village, specifically at Plot 223 on the land covering Survey numbers 277 to 285. It’s a bit of a drive out to Keesara Mandal, but it’s where we have the space we need for the heavy engineering work we do. The shop floor is usually covered in metal shavings and oil, which is pretty standard for a place like ours. We spend a lot of time measuring things and making sure the cuts are right. It’s dusty out here in the village, especially when the wind picks up across the open fields. We don’t have any fancy air conditioning, just the big doors open to catch a breeze. Most of the guys here live nearby, so we all know each other well. We started out small and just kept adding bits of equipment as we could afford them. There’s always some piece of machinery that needs fixing or a customer asking for something a bit unusual. We don’t spend much time on the phone unless it’s about a specific job. Engineering is mostly about being hands-on and solving problems as they come up. We keep a pot of tea going most of the morning. It’s not a glamorous job, but there is something good about seeing a finished part ready to go out. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. The village life is slow, but inside the workshop, things are always moving at their own pace.
