We’re based right in Khalashi Mohalla. It’s a local place and everyone pretty much knows where we are. This is a one-person company mostly, though we bring in extra hands when a job gets too big. Sajid runs the show from here. We don't have a fancy office building or a big sign out front. It’s more of a home-based thing where the work gets planned out. We’ve been doing construction work in the mohalla and the surrounding areas for a while. It’s mostly small residential stuff or helping neighbors with their shops. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything like that. People just know to come find us when they need something built. The pace of work depends on the season. During the festivals, things slow down a bit, but otherwise, we’re usually out on a site somewhere. It’s just a simple operation. We don't use a lot of big words to explain what we do. If a roof is leaking or a new room needs to be added, we handle it. It's practical work for practical people. Most of the time, we’re just covered in dust and trying to get the job finished before dark. It’s a good way to make a living and we know the community here really well. That’s pretty much all there is to it. We keep our tools sharp and our schedules as clear as we can. It is just about getting the work done day by day.
