Our company, Rampyari and Tila Construction, is based out of Pandra Basti in the Hehal area of Ranchi. We’ve been around this part of Jharkhand for quite some time. It’s a local operation through and through. We don't have a fancy office in a mall; we work right where the people are. We handle basic construction jobs—houses, small buildings, and repairs. Most of the people who work with us are from the nearby villages. We aren't using high-tech drones or anything like that. We use our eyes and our hands. Sometimes the trucks with sand get delayed and we have to sit around and wait, which is just part of the life. We don't have a marketing department. If we do a good job on one house, the neighbor usually asks us to help with theirs. That’s how we’ve stayed in business. It’s a lot of physical work and managing the budget so we don't run out of money halfway through a project. We often have lunch together at the site, just simple dal and rice. We’re not trying to build skyscrapers. We just want to build things that stay standing and make the families living in them happy. It’s a straightforward way of working. No big promises, just showing up every morning and putting in the hours until the roof is on and the walls are painted.
