Our place is located at Quarter Number G 61 in the Shyamali Township, which is part of the Doranda area in Ranchi. Being inside the township makes things a bit quieter than being right on the main road. It’s a residential-style setup, so it feels more like a home than a stiff corporate office. Most of us live nearby or have grown up around Jharkhand, so we know the 834002 area like the back of our hands. Working from a quarter means we have a small kitchen area and some garden space outside. It’s nice during the winter months when the sun hits the porch. There’s always someone walking by or kids playing in the township streets while we are trying to handle our daily logs and files. It’s a practical way to run things without all the noise of a high-rise building. We have our desks set up in different rooms of the house. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, which is just part of living in this part of Ranchi, so we take a break and then get back to it once things are running again. It’s a simple life here at Mecon Ltd in Shyamali. We don’t have a big reception desk or anything, just a door you walk through to find us working. It feels very grounded and real to work in a neighborhood like this.
