Little Star Kidzee

Our little place is on Chuna Bhata Road in the Kokar area of Ranchi. It’s a preschool, so you can imagine it’s never actually quiet here during the day. We have colorful walls and lots of plastic toys scattered around the rooms. The floor is usually covered in crayon marks or bits of paper from whatever the kids were making that morning. We spend most of our time tied to the schedule of snacks and naps. It’s a small building, but we manage to fit in everything we need. The neighbors are used to the noise by now. Sometimes the morning traffic on the road makes it hard for parents to drop off their children, so we help out at the gate. We aren't a big institution with fancy slogans. We just look after the little ones while their parents are at work. The staff here has been together for a while, so we know each other's habits. We have a small yard where the kids can run around, though it gets dusty in the summer. When it rains, we have to stay inside and find ways to keep everyone occupied without making too much of a mess. It’s mostly about making sure nobody falls down and everyone eats their lunch. We go through a lot of soap and paper towels. It’s just a normal day at a local school in Ranchi, really.
