Jaipur Academy

Jaipur Academy is way up on the 6th floor of Shital Samundra. Since we are in Ranchi, being that high up means we get a decent view of the rooftops and the trees further out. The elevator is a bit slow and sometimes it feels like it might get stuck, so a few of us just take the stairs if we are feeling energetic. It is a lot of steps though. Up here, it is much quieter than it is down on the street. You don't hear the cars as much. The rooms are fairly large but they are filled with benches. We have some whiteboards that never seem to get completely clean, no matter how much we scrub them. There is always a faint smell of dry-erase markers in the air. The hallway is narrow and has a few chairs for people to wait. We don't have a big reception desk or anything. Just a small table with a register where people sign in. On rainy days, you can see the clouds moving across the hills in the distance. It is a nice change from the usual city noise. Most of our students are young and always in a hurry to get somewhere else after they finish. We keep the water cooler filled because everyone gets thirsty after climbing those stairs. It is just a quiet place to get some work done without too many distractions. The days go by pretty fast when you are busy and focused on things.
