Hotel The Lagoona

Hotel The Lagoona is situated on Kanke Road in Ranchi. We are right across from the Ranchi Convent School, so you can always hear the school bell and the kids playing during their lunch break. The hotel isn't one of those giant skyscrapers. It’s a more modest building that fits into the Shivpur neighborhood. People staying here are usually in town for work or visiting family. The lobby is a bit small but we keep it clean and there is usually a newspaper sitting on the table for anyone to read. Kanke Road is a major route, so it is easy for guests to find us when they are coming from the station. The rooms are basic and we try to make sure the plumbing and the lights are always working right. It gets a bit chilly in Ranchi during the winter nights, so we make sure there are enough blankets. We don't have a massive team of people in uniforms. It is just a few of us who handle the front desk and the cleaning. Sometimes we have to explain the directions to the post office or the nearest ATM to the guests. It’s the kind of place where you can just relax without any pretension. We've been here in Jharkhand for a while and we just try to keep things running smoothly for whoever walks through the door. It is a simple hotel for people who need a place to sleep.
