Hotel Green Acres

Hotel Green Acres is located in a bit of a different spot than most hotels. We are in the Hatia Railway Colony in Ranchi. Our address is Quarter No-40/C in the DS II section. The pin code is 834003. Since we are in the railway colony, the whole area has a specific feel to it. The quarters are these old-style buildings that have been around for a long time. It’s a very green area with lots of trees, which is why we have the name. You can hear the trains whistling and moving on the tracks nearby throughout the day and night. We are a small operation. There isn't a big front desk or a lobby with a fountain. It’s more like staying in someone’s home. We spend our time making sure the rooms are clean and that there is enough water for everyone. Sometimes we have to fix things like leaky taps or flickering lights ourselves. It is a very hands-on job. We don't do any big advertising. Most people find us because they work for the railway or have friends in the colony. We serve simple food, mostly just what we are eating ourselves. It’s a quiet and honest way to live and work. The building might look a bit worn on the outside, but we try to make it comfortable inside. It’s just us doing our best in this corner of Hatia.
