Axis Institute

Axis Institute is right here on Kutchery Road in Ranchi. It’s a busy area with a lot of noise from the street, but once you get inside our rooms, things usually settle down. We’ve been running this place for some time now, mostly helping out students who are trying to get through their exams. The building isn’t new or anything, just a regular spot with classrooms, some old benches, and a few whiteboards. We didn't really plan on making it some huge thing; it just grew because students kept showing up. We spend most of our days sitting with books or standing at the blackboard. It gets pretty hot in the summers, but the ceiling fans keep the air moving. You can hear the traffic outside sometimes, especially during the afternoon rush when the horns start. We don't have a fancy lobby or a bunch of staff in suits. It’s just us and the students. Most people find us through word of mouth or they just see the sign while they are walking toward the court area. We keep things pretty simple. There are stacks of papers and old notebooks everywhere. We just try to make sure everyone has a place to sit and focus on their work. Sometimes we stay late if a group needs more time with a particular chapter. It’s just how we do things here. No big speeches, just everyday work in a quiet corner of Ranchi.
