Navsrijan Mustard Producer Company Limited is based in the Bhagd Meo area of Ramgarh. We work out of the home of Babeeta and her husband Bablish Kumar. It’s a real family-run feel here. Ramgarh is a place where everyone knows everyone’s business, so we have to keep things honest. Our focus is on mustard because that’s what grows best in this soil. We spend a lot of time in the fields or sitting in the shade talking to the growers. The office is really just a part of the house where we keep our records and some supplies. It gets busy during the planting and harvest seasons. We don't have any polished sales pitches or corporate slogans. We are just here to help organize the mustard production so people get a fair shake. Sometimes the goats from the neighbor’s yard wander over while we are working, which is just how it goes in Bhagd Meo. We like the pace of life here, even when it's stressful during the peak times. It's about being part of the community and making sure the crop is handled right. Babeeta handles a lot of the day-to-day stuff, and there’s always tea ready for anyone who stops by to discuss their farm. We are just regular people working with what we have.
