Ramco Ceramic Ltd.

We are situated at No. 8-A on the National Highway, right at the Dhuva junction in Wankane. This area is famous for ceramics, and we are just one of the many factories out here. The highway is always humming with the sound of big trucks carrying goods across the country. Our place is Ramco Ceramic Ltd. and it's a big, dusty operation. We have large kilns that run pretty much all the time, making the air around the yard quite warm. There’s white dust on everything—the trees, the trucks, and even our clothes. It’s just part of the ceramic life. We have a lot of laborers who come from the nearby villages to work the shifts. The office is just a small room at the front where we keep the records. We don’t have a lot of decorations on the walls. Mostly just calendars and some old photos. Dhuva is a busy place, and there’s always someone stopping by to ask for directions or to see if we have certain tiles ready. We drink a lot of water because of the heat from the ovens. It’s hard work, and the days are long, but we’ve been doing this for years now. We know the highway sounds by heart and we know when a shipment is arriving just by the sound of the engine turning the corner into our gate.
