Umiya Marble & Ceramics

We are located over at Umiya Marble & Ceramics on the first floor of Tiruputi Plaza. If you are driving along the 150 Ft Ring Road, you’ve probably seen the building. We are right near Balaji Hall, which is where most people turn off. Being on the first floor means we have to haul everything up, which is a bit of a workout every time. The ring road is always packed with cars and bikes, so it gets quite noisy during the day. Inside the plaza, things are a bit quieter. We have different sections for the marbles and the ceramic pieces. It’s a practical setup, nothing too fancy or modern. I usually have a cup of tea in the morning while looking at the schedule for the day. Sometimes the elevator in the plaza acts up, so we end up using the stairs more than we’d like. The space is filled with heavy samples and catalogs. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone like that. It’s just us handling the customers and making sure the stock is correct. Sometimes the samples get a bit dusty because of the construction nearby, so we are always wiping things down. It feels like a real workplace, not a plastic office. People find us because they know the area well. It's a solid spot for what we do and we just keep it running day by day without much fuss.
