The Galaxy Hotel

We are right on Jawahar Road, which is a pretty central spot here in town. The Galaxy Hotel has been standing in this location for quite a few years now. The building is one of those older styles you see in this part of town, so it has high ceilings and thick walls that have seen a lot of people come and go. It stays reasonably cool inside even when the sun is hitting the asphalt hard out on the street. We don't have a big fancy entrance with doormen or shiny gold signs; you just walk in and come straight to the desk. Most of our guests are people coming to town for small business deals or visiting relatives in the area. We keep the rooms tidy and the sheets clean, which is what most folks are looking for anyway. The plumbing can be a bit noisy in the mornings when everyone is waking up at once, but that’s just the age of the pipes and the building. We have a few staff members who have stayed with us for a long time, and they know how to fix most things that go wrong without making a fuss. We don't do much in the way of fancy meals, just simple stuff that tastes like home cooking. It’s a quiet enough place once you get off the main road and settle in. We don't use any fancy online systems; a lot of people just call us.
