We’ve been out here on the Mitana-Wankarner Road for quite some time now. Our place is at Survey No. 396, right near the Demi-1 Dam. It’s a good spot for Aakruti Boardlam Pvt. Ltd. because the trucks find us easily enough. We work with boards and laminates every day. Usually, it’s a lot of noise and dust from the machines. People in Tankara know where we are. It’s not a fancy office or anything. We just have a large shed where the pressing happens. Some days the heat is a bit much, especially in the afternoon, but we get the orders done. Most of us live nearby in the Morbi district. We started small and just kept adding a few more machines as the years went by. You can see the dam from the back of the property if you stand in the right spot. The road gets busy with tractors and big lorries heading toward Wankarner. We don't really do big meetings. Usually, we just talk over tea in the morning about what needs to be cut or shipped out. It's practical work. We’ve had some leaks in the roof during the monsoon, but we patched them up. It’s just how things go when you run a factory in this part of Gujarat. We focus on the boards and making sure the stacks are straight before they go out on the trucks. We keep a small logbook by the door to track who comes and goes. The yard has enough space for two trucks to turn around at the same time.
