Shreeji Icecream started out small and we’re still over here at Gadhiya Estate. If you know where Mahadev Wadi Main Road is, we’re right near there in Umakant Udhyog Nagar. It’s a good spot for us because people are always passing by. Making ice cream is what we know how to do best. It gets pretty hot around here, so there’s always someone looking for something cold. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s mostly just family and workers who have been with us since the start. The machines can be noisy, and the freezers are always humming in the background. We spend most of our mornings getting the flavors right and the afternoons getting everything out for delivery. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic when a big order comes in last minute, but we manage. The neighborhood knows us as the local ice cream place. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just want to make stuff that tastes good and keep the business running. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting crates and checking temperatures, but it keeps us on our toes. You can usually find us at the estate from early morning until late at night. It’s a decent life, making people happy with a bit of sweet stuff to eat. We have some regulars who come by just to chat while they wait for their orders.
