Jaddus Food Field

Our place is in the Cross Road Building on Kalavad Road. It’s right near the old Juna Jakat Naka, so a lot of people know exactly where we are located in Rajkot. The traffic on Kalavad Road is almost constant, and the heat in the summer can be quite something. We have a decent-sized space where we serve food, and we spend a lot of our time trying to keep the place cool for the customers. The kitchen is always the hottest part of the building, and we have the guys working hard back there. We keep things pretty straightforward here. We don't have any big corporate rules; we just try to make sure people get their food without waiting too long. Sometimes the bins out back get full too fast or we run out of a certain vegetable, and we have to send someone to the market real quick. It’s a bit of a scramble sometimes, but that’s just how the food business is. We have been in this building for a while now and we know the other shop owners around us. It’s a friendly enough neighborhood. We spend the end of the night cleaning up the grease and mopping the tiles so we can do it all over again the next day. It is a long day for everyone here.
