Shiv Shakti Icecream

If you go down Race Course Road, you’ll find us. Shiv Shakti Icecream isn’t a huge company with a big office block. We are just a local spot where we spend our days around the cold storage. It’s a pretty good location, though it gets very crowded on the weekends when people are out for a walk. We’ve got a couple of old freezers that have been with us since the start. They make a bit of noise, but they do the job. We don’t have any fancy seating or air conditioning for ourselves in the back. It’s mostly just us wearing sweaters even in the summer because of the ice cream. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just make the ice cream, pack it up, and sell it. Sometimes we run out of a certain flavor and people get a bit disappointed, but we just tell them to come back tomorrow. It’s a very simple way of doing business. We don’t have a website or a social media manager. It’s just us talking to the customers and making sure the batches are right. The floor is usually a bit sticky by the end of the day, but we give it a good scrub before heading home. It’s just a normal life on Race Course Road. We often sit outside on the bench for a few minutes after closing up, just watching the traffic go by. It is a quiet way to end a busy day.
