Shree Ghanshyam Eng.Works

Shree Ghanshyam Eng.Works is located right at 7, Lati Plot Main Road. If you know the area, you know it’s always crowded with vehicles and people moving parts around. Our shop is one of those places where there's always a pile of scrap metal or some half-finished engine part sitting near the entrance. We opened up here because it’s central for the local mechanics and factory owners who need something turned on a lathe or welded back together. The floor is stained with oil, and the walls have been darkened by years of smoke and work. I usually start the day by opening the shutters and sweeping out the metal shavings from the night before. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room with magazines. If you come by, you’ll probably find us hunched over a machine with a pair of calipers in hand. The traffic on the main road is loud, but you get used to it after a week or two. We take our breaks when the work allows, usually sending someone across the street to get a tray of tea for the guys. It’s not a polished business, just a workshop where we use our hands to get things running again. People stop in, ask if we can fix a specific piece, and we tell them straight if we can or can't. That’s just how we do things here.
