Mavani Engineering Works

Mavani Engineering Works is located on Dr. Vikram Sarabhai Road. It’s a pretty busy street with a lot of other workshops around. We do a lot of fabrication and general engineering jobs. If someone needs something welded or a custom bracket made, they usually come to us. Our workshop is full of tools that have been used for years. They aren't new, but they are reliable. We have a big workbench in the center where most of the planning happens. It’s covered in pencil marks and scratches. The air is often full of sparks when the grinders are going. We don't have a fancy lobby. If you come by, you just walk through the main door and find one of us. We are usually wearing our overalls and might have some soot on our faces. We don't use much technology here, just the machines and our hands. We take a break in the afternoon when it gets too hot. We sit outside and watch the traffic go by on Dr. Vikram Sarabhai Road. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. Some businesses have gone, but we are still here. We don't have a big marketing budget. Our name is just painted on the front. People find us by word of mouth mostly. We just do the work that comes in and try to do it right. It’s not a complicated business. We just like making things and fixing what’s broken.
