We are tucked away in Rangoli Park at J. P. Patel Delo, near the Mama Saheb Temple in the Mavdi area of Rajkot. This part of Rajkot is always buzzing with activity. Our shop is small but we pack a lot into it. Being near the temple means there’s always people around and the sounds of the neighborhood are constant. We do general engineering work, mostly small parts and repairs. It’s a family-style setup. We don't have a formal reception or a waiting room. People just come to the door and ask for J. P. or whoever is around. The workshop is full of tools that have been used for years. They might look old, but they still work fine. We don’t have any big corporate talk here. We just wake up, open the shutters, and start working on the orders. Rajkot is famous for this kind of small-scale engineering, and we are just one small part of that tradition. Sometimes we have to move things out onto the street to make room to work on a larger piece. Our neighbors are all doing similar things, so nobody minds the noise or the mess. We usually wrap up in the evening and head home. It’s a steady life. We don’t use fancy websites to get work. People know where we are and what we can do.
