Shail Engineer

Our workshop is located at Survey No. 209, Plot No. 6, out in Veraval Shapar. We are on Essen Road in the Taluka Kotda Sangani area of Rajkot district. It is a bit of a drive to get out here, especially past the Gujarat Motor landmark. Shail Engineer is mostly just a lot of heavy machinery and the smell of oil. The road outside can be quite bumpy and gets muddy when it rains. We spend our days working on different engineering parts. The shed is large, but it still feels small when we have several big projects going at once. It is a loud environment with the sound of grinding and metal hitting metal. We do not have a receptionist; you usually just find someone in overalls to talk to. The sun hits the roof pretty hard in the afternoon, making it quite warm inside. We have been at this plot for a while, and the neighbors are all other small factories. We keep our tools on big racks, though things tend to go missing if we are not careful. It is honest work and quite tiring by the time evening rolls around. We just focus on the drawings and making sure the dimensions are right on the lathes. The dust from the road covers everything, but that is just part of being in Shapar. We usually lock up around seven and head back into the city after a long shift.
