To find Sb Engineering, you have to go to the Samrat Industrial Area on Gondal Road and look behind the ST workshops. We are at number 20. It’s an old building, and the paint is peeling in a few places, but it’s home to us. We do mechanical engineering work here. The floor is stained with oil and there’s always a pile of metal shavings near the lathes. We aren't the kind of place that has a clean-shaven manager in a suit. Most of us have grease under our fingernails and we like it that way. The machines we use have been with us for a long time. They are loud and they rattle, but they are reliable if you know how to handle them. Working on Gondal Road means dealing with a lot of traffic and noise, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We don't have a website that looks like a movie, and we don't have a receptionist to take your call. Usually, you just have to shout over the machines if you want to talk to someone. We take on the small jobs that the big shops won't touch. It’s honest work and it keeps the lights on. We don't make big promises, we just do the engineering as best as we can with the tools we have. Some days are harder than others, especially when the weather is bad, but we always manage to get back to work. We just keep things moving.
