Our shop, Samrat Machine Products, is located at 5-Mani Nagar in the Mavdi Plot area. If you are looking for us, just ask for the place near Ashok Stove and someone will point you in the right direction. It is a typical industrial neighborhood where everyone is making something or fixing something. Our workshop is full of the sounds of spinning motors and metal being shaved down. We have several machines squeezed into the space, and it can get pretty loud when they are all running at once. The floor is usually covered in a fine layer of metal dust and oil spots. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. We usually start our day very early to get the heavy work done before the heat of the afternoon sets in. There is no air conditioning here, just the open windows and a couple of old fans. We don't spend money on advertising or shiny brochures. Most of our work comes from people who have been buying from us for a long time. We just focus on making the parts as best we can with the tools we have. It is a bit cluttered and the walls could use a coat of paint, but it is a productive place. We just enjoy the work and the quiet satisfaction of finishing a job correctly.
