Ruby Casting

Ruby Casting is situated in the Shri Hari Industrial Area on Street Number 8. We’re near the Kothariya Ring Road, just behind the Khodiyar Hotel. If you’ve ever been to this part of Rajkot, you know it’s a lot of metalwork and heat. Our foundry is a place where things are always moving. The floor is dirt and sand in some places because that’s just how casting works. We spend our days around the furnaces. It’s heavy work and everyone gets pretty dirty by the end of the shift. We don’t have a website or a marketing person. Most of our work comes from people who know us or who have seen what we make. We have been in this spot for years, and the walls are covered in the soot from the cooling metal. We usually have the radio playing in the background to keep things lively. Rajkot is famous for this kind of work, and we’re just one small part of it. When the weather gets rainy, the ground outside gets muddy, but we keep the fires going inside regardless. We have our tea together in the afternoon, sitting on whatever we can find. It’s a tough job but it’s what we know. We don’t make things sound better than they are. It’s just casting metal and making sure the molds are right. That is just how the day goes here.
