Satyam Auto Products

Satyam Auto Products is located at 1/4 Mavdi Plot, specifically Plot No. 10 in the Radiya Estate. This is right in the middle of the Mavadi Industrial Area in Rajkot. Being in an industrial zone means there is always a lot of noise and the smell of diesel in the air. We share the estate with the old Kishor Oil Mill, so it’s a very busy neighborhood. Our workshop is full of metal parts and components for cars and trucks. There is grease on almost every surface, and we all have stained hands by lunchtime. We use some older machines that need a bit of a kick sometimes to get going. The roof is made of corrugated sheets, so it gets really hot inside during the Gujarat summers. We have a big water cooler in the corner that everyone uses constantly. There are piles of metal scrap in the back that we clear out every few weeks. We don't have a big office, just a small cabin with a glass window where we keep the invoices and the computer. Most of our day is spent on our feet, moving heavy boxes or checking the quality of the parts coming off the line. It’s hard work and the floor is always a bit slippery with oil, but that’s just how an auto parts place is. We don't have a receptionist or anything; if the door is open, you just walk in and find one of us.
