Impetus Turnomatics

We’re over at C-1/55 in the AJI GIDC, Phase 1, on Road D. Impetus Turnomatics has been in this part of Rajkot for quite a while now. The industrial area is always full of activity, and Road D is usually packed with tempos and trucks. We do a lot of turning work on our lathes. The machines are the most important part of our shop. They aren't brand new, but we keep them oiled and running well. The floor is usually a bit oily, so you have to watch your step. It’s a small operation, just a handful of us working the machines and one person handling the books in the corner office. We don’t have a website or anything like that; most people just find us through word of mouth or by walking in. We spend our days measuring parts and checking tolerances. It’s tedious work, but we’re used to it. Sometimes we stay late to finish a big order if the deadline is tight. We don't have any big speeches about our values. We just try to make sure the parts match the drawings we’re given. It’s a simple business. When the power goes out, we just take a break and sit on the benches outside. It’s a bit of a rough-and-ready place, but it gets the job done and keeps us going.
