Ramdut Hotel & Dining Hall

Our place is located in the Ramdut Apartment building, right on Christ College Road. Since we are so close to the Saurastra University campus, we see a lot of students all day long. They usually come in groups between their classes. The dining hall is a decent size, enough to fit a good number of people at once. It’s not a fancy hotel, despite the name, it's more about the food we serve at the tables. We keep things simple. Most of the boys living in the hostels around here come to us because they want a meal that feels like home. We have a set menu for the dining hall most days. It makes things easier for everyone. The staff works fast because students are always in a hurry. You’ll find textbooks and bags on the chairs quite often. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when a big group shows up without telling us, but we find space for them. The university vibe keeps the place feeling young, I think. We don't have air conditioning, just the ceiling fans that stay on all day. The windows look out towards the campus road. We’ve been here for a few years now and most of the professors know us too. It’s a straightforward business. We wake up, prep the vegetables, and start the stoves. By night, we’re tired but it’s okay. That’s life in Rajkot near the university campus area.
