Ramani Eng. Works

If you head over toward the Sorathiyavadi area, you will find us at 2, Patel Nagar. Ramani Eng. Works is basically just a workshop where we handle metal and machinery stuff. It gets pretty loud in here when the machines are running, but that is just how it goes in this line of work. We have been at this spot for a long time. The floor is usually covered in some kind of dust or metal shavings, but we try to sweep up at the end of the shift. Most of the guys here have been working with tools since they were young. We do not have a big front office or a place for people to sit and wait. If you come by, you will probably see us in our work clothes, likely covered in a bit of grease. We take on the jobs that come through the door. Some are big projects and some are just small fixes. It does not matter much to us as long as we can get the part fixed or the piece made right. The neighborhood is mostly residential and small shops, so everyone kind of knows everyone. We are not much for talking about what we do; we just do it. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend the morning fixing them before we can even start the real work. That is just part of the day. It is an honest way to spend the time.
