Pramukh Engginring

Our shop is over on Tagore Road, right near the Tata showroom. You really cannot miss us if you are familiar with this part of town. We have been working out of Ashok Metal for quite a while now under the name Pramukh Engginring. Engineering is mostly just a lot of hard work and staying late to finish up the jobs that come in. We mainly handle mechanical parts and various repairs for local businesses. The shop floor is usually covered in metal shavings and a bit of oil from the machines. It is a very busy street outside, so there is always the noise of traffic mixing with the sounds of our own grinding and welding. We did not worry too much about having a fancy office or a polished look, we just wanted to get the doors open and start our daily work. My hands are usually stained dark from the grease, no matter how much I try to wash them at the end of a long shift. We see a lot of the same faces coming in every week because they know we are always here at the shop. We do not have a website or any of that modern marketing stuff. People just drop by or give us a call on the old landline phone. Sometimes we sit out front for a quick tea break when the sun is not being too harsh on us. It is a small operation with just a few of us making things.
