Metoda GIDC is a huge place, and it’s easy to get lost if you don't know the turns. Prakash Engitech Pvt. Ltd. is one of the many workshops operating out of this industrial zone. We’ve been here for several years, focusing on engineering work that isn't always pretty but is definitely necessary. The shop floor is a mix of old and new machines, and there’s always a faint smell of coolant and burnt metal in the air. We don't have a big corporate structure or a bunch of managers in suits. It’s just us, wearing our regular clothes and getting our hands dirty every day. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit around and wait, which is just part of life in the GIDC. We share our space with a lot of heavy parts and raw steel. It’s not a place for a quiet conversation because there’s always someone grinding something or a truck idling outside. We handle the paperwork ourselves in a small corner that we call an office, though it’s mostly just a desk and a couple of chairs. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just make parts and fix things as they come. It’s a straightforward business, and we like it that way. Most of our neighbors are doing the same thing, so we all understand each other. There is no point in making things more complicated than they are.
