Pragati Engineers

Out in Metoda GIDC, on Road 1-b, you can find our workshop at Plot No. G-1043. We’re right near Dyne Cast Industries, which is a fairly big landmark in this part of the estate. Pragati Engineers is where we spend our days doing a lot of metalwork and fabrication. The sound of grinding and welding is the background noise of our lives. It’s a dusty place, and your hands are usually covered in grease by ten in the morning. We don't have a fancy lobby or any air conditioning in the back where the real work happens. It’s just us, the machines, and a lot of raw materials. We take on all sorts of engineering jobs, some small and some that take up the whole floor for weeks. Every day brings a different challenge, like a machine part that won’t fit or a design that needs a bit of tweaking on the fly. We don't use much fancy language to describe what we do. We just look at the drawings and start cutting. It can be exhausting when the deadlines are tight, but we manage to get through it. Most of the guys here have been working with their hands for decades. We value a job that’s done solid over something that just looks pretty. It's a rough and ready environment, but it's where we feel at home. We just keep our heads down and finish the work we have been given.
