Pai Ceramica

If you ever find yourself walking around Nana Mava Road, you probably know where Golden Point Complex is. We are over at Shop 6. It’s a busy little spot, and mostly we just spend our time moving boxes of ceramic tiles around. Pai Ceramica has been here for a while now, and the place is usually covered in a bit of dust because that is just how it goes with tiles. Some days it is just me here, and other days a couple of the guys are helping load stuff into the back of trucks. People stop by to look at the different patterns, and we just let them walk around and see what they like. It’s not a fancy showroom like the ones you see in the big malls, but we have what people need for their bathrooms or kitchens. The morning sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard, so we usually keep the shutters halfway down until it cools off a bit. It is mostly local people from the neighborhood who come by. We know most of the regulars. Sometimes we just sit outside on the plastic chairs when it’s quiet and watch the traffic go by on the road. It’s a simple way to run a business, but it works for us. We just try to keep the stacks organized so we don’t trip over anything during the day.
