Neelu Kitchenware

You’ll find us at A-2/7 in the Aji G.I.D.C. industrial area. Neelu Kitchenware is basically a factory setting where we make and store various kitchen items. Being in the GIDC means we are surrounded by other workshops and heavy machinery. It’s a loud place with the sound of metal being pressed and shaped all day. The floor is concrete and there’s always a bit of dust in the air, but that’s just part of the manufacturing life. We have a small office section partitioned off from the main floor where we handle the billing and the phone calls. It’s usually hot, especially in the summer months, so we keep the big shutters open to get some breeze. We don’t have any fancy decorations; the walls are mostly covered with calendars and order sheets. Most of our staff have been working these machines for years, so they know exactly what they’re doing. We focus on getting the products finished and out the door to the retailers. There’s no big philosophy here, just the daily routine of making sure the quality is okay and the quantities are right. It’s a straightforward, hardworking environment where we produce things that people actually use in their homes every day. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late or a machine breaks down, but we just fix it and keep going. We've been at this spot for a long time.
