K. K. Engineering Works

K. K. Engineering Works is located at 10-Bhaktinagar Station Plot in Rajkot. If you’ve been to this part of the city, you know it’s where all the real work happens. We are surrounded by other workshops and the constant sound of hammers hitting metal. Our shop is not very big, but we have squeezed in all the equipment we need to get our engineering jobs done. We mainly focus on making specific components that the larger industries around here require for their machines. It’s a lot of measuring and cutting and then checking it all over again. I’ve been working here since I was much younger, and the place hasn't changed much, though we’ve upgraded a couple of machines over the years. The floor is covered in metal shavings by the end of every day. We don't use fancy jargon or try to act like we are some huge corporation. We are just a local engineering shop. Most of the time, the guys are in their overalls and I am busy checking the orders or talking to the scrap dealers. When the power goes out, we all sit outside and wait for it to come back, talking about the local news. It’s a steady rhythm. People come to us because they know we will give them a straight answer about the work. We just do our job and go home to our families in the evening.
