Iswar Casting Co. sits right on Ganjiwada Main Road, just behind the P.T.C building in Aji Vasahat. If you walk by, you can usually feel the heat coming from the furnaces. Casting metal is a tough job and it doesn't leave you with clean clothes at the end of the shift. We spend our days working with sand molds and molten iron, pouring it and waiting for it to set. It is a slow process that you can't really rush if you want the parts to come out right. The workshop is cluttered with old patterns and piles of scrap metal waiting to be melted down. Sometimes a batch doesn't turn out perfect and we have to do it all over again, which is frustrating but part of the trade. We have a small crew and most of the guys have been with us for a long time. They know the sounds the machines make when something is slightly off. It is noisy and dusty here in Aji Vasahat, but that is the nature of a foundry. We don't have a website or a fancy office because we are usually too busy on the floor. Most people just drop by the gate to talk about what they need. We just focus on getting the casting done and getting it shipped out to the factories that use our parts. It is what we know how to do. There is always a lot of heavy lifting and the grease is hard to wash off. It’s a bit of a grind but it’s how we’ve always done it.
