Impetus Turnomatics

Working in the Aji GIDC area of Rajkot means you are surrounded by the constant hum of machines and industrial activity. Our workshop is located at C/1/55 on Road D in Phase 1, and we are quite close to Poonam Casting. It is a rugged environment where grease and metal dust are just part of the daily scenery. We have several turning machines on the shop floor that stay busy for most of the day. The space is mostly filled with metal rods, scrap bins, and the various tools we use for our turnomatics work. We do not have a proper office room, just a small corner with a desk where we keep the ledger and the machine schedules. Lunch is usually a quick affair, often eaten right there on the shop floor or just outside the main shutter if it is not too hot. The Rajkot summers can be very intense, making the workshop feel like an oven, but we just keep the fans running and stay on task. Most of the guys here have been working together for years, so we all know how the machines behave. We do not worry about appearances or fancy decor; we just care about getting the dimensions right on the pieces we are making. It is hard, physical work, but it is what we know how to do. When the power goes out, which happens sometimes in the GIDC, we just take a break and wait.
