We are located out on Matel Road, right across from the PGVCL sub station. It’s in the Wakaner taluka, so it’s a bit of a trek from the main Morbi city center. Being near the sub station is helpful for giving people directions because everyone knows where that is. The area is very industrial, and the ground is that dry, reddish earth you see everywhere around here. We work with tiles all day, every day. There is the constant hum of the machines and the sound of forklifts moving back and forth in the distance. Our daily life is pretty straightforward. We show up, check what tiles were produced overnight, and figure out the shipping schedule for the afternoon. It gets very hot in the afternoons, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early in the morning. The office is just a small building on the site where we keep the records. It’s mostly just us and the workers from the local villages. We don’t have any polished sales pitches or anything like that. If you need tiles, you come see what we have in the warehouse. We deal with a lot of different sizes and patterns, and sometimes it's hard to keep track of it all. We just do our best to stay on top of the orders and make sure the trucks are loaded properly before they head out on the bumpy roads. It’s just work.
