Our place is right on NH-8B, just across from Field Marshal School. We spend our days building lathes and working with metal. It’s been our main thing at Gujarat Lathe for years now. The workshop stays pretty loud because of all the metalwork and assembly going on. It’s not a quiet office job, that’s for sure. We have a bunch of guys who have been with us for ages, and they know the machines inside out. The highway outside is always humming with traffic, which makes the morning commute a bit of a headache sometimes. We focus on putting the machines together and making sure they actually work properly before they leave the floor. There’s no big marketing team here, just us and the tools. The office is small and usually has blueprints or parts lists scattered everywhere. We take our lunches together near the back where it’s a bit quieter and we can actually hear each other talk. It’s a lot of manual labor and keeping an eye on the details so things don't go wrong. Some days are better than others, especially when a big order is finally finished and ready to go out. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just build lathes and try to stay on top of the repairs and orders that come our way every single week. It's just honest shop work. We lock up around six and head home to our families.
