Deep Engineering Works

Deep Engineering Works is located right behind the Ambika Weigh Bridge on Lakhdirpur Road. Because we are so close to National Highway 8-A, there is a constant stream of big trucks and heavy vehicles passing by at all hours. It’s a pretty dusty spot because of all that road traffic, but it’s where we do our engineering work every day. We spend a lot of our time dealing with heavy metal parts and trying to fix equipment that comes off the big rigs. The constant roar of the highway is just something you get used to after working here for a few days. We have a large workshop area that stays busy from the early morning until well into the evening. The floor is mostly covered in dirt and grease, and we don't really bother with cleaning it too much because it just gets messy again five minutes later. Most of us have been working with these kinds of machines for many years. We usually carry our own lunch from home and eat it while sitting on whatever wooden crates are lying around the shop. There isn’t much shade out here, so the summer heat can be really tough to deal with. We don't have any fancy signs or a front office, just the workshop and the tools we need to finish the jobs. It’s an honest, simple place where people bring their broken gear. We see a lot of different faces every day. It’s just the way life is on the highway.
