Carving Engineering Works

We are tucked away behind Saurashtra Solven in the Natraj Industrial Area. If you’re looking for us, we’re right across from Parin Furniture, not far from the Gondal Highway. It’s a good spot because the highway makes it easy to get materials in and out. Carving Engineering Works is just a small outfit. We do a lot of metalwork and machining. The shop is full of old iron and tools we've collected over the years. It isn't the cleanest place you'll ever see, but we know where everything is. My cousin helps me run the floor, and we have three other guys who do the heavy lifting. We don't have a fancy office or a big sign out front. Most of our work comes from the other businesses around the Gondal Highway who need things repaired or custom made. We spend most of our day in blue overalls, getting spark marks on our boots. It’s hot in the summer because the roof is just tin, but we have some big fans that help a little. We don't do any big promotions or anything. We just take the jobs as they come and try to get them finished on time. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to fix our own equipment before we can finish the customer's work. That's just part of the job. We've been here a while and plan to stay for as long as we can.
