Meghani Tower is a pretty busy spot on Station Road, and that’s where you’ll find us at Plot No. 18. Apex Engineering has been tucked away here for a good while. The traffic outside never really stops, and there’s always someone honking their horn or a rickshaw zooming by. Inside the shop, it’s mostly just the sound of the lathes and the smell of cutting oil. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy with the work. We handle various engineering tasks, mostly stuff that people bring in from the local area. It’s a lot of manual labor, checking dimensions and making sure everything fits together like it should. We don’t have any fancy marketing people or a big sales team. Usually, it’s just one of us answering the phone or talking to whoever walks in off the street. Some days are slow and we spend time cleaning the floor or fixing the old equipment, and other days it feels like everyone wants their parts finished at the exact same time. We’ve grown used to the rhythm of Station Road. It’s a loud, crowded part of town, but it feels like home to us now. We just do our engineering work, drink some tea when there’s a break, and try to make sure we don't fall behind on the schedule. It is just a normal life for a shop in this city.
