Shatarupa Mahila Aajeevika Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our organization is called Shatarupa Mahila Aajeevika Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are based in the Bharti Aajeevika Bhawan, which is inside the Janpat Panchayat Parisar in Raisen. It is a group for women farmers from around here. We decided to start this because it’s hard for women to get their voices heard in the market sometimes. We aren't some polished corporate team. We are just local women who know how to farm and want to make a better life for our families. The office is in a public building, so there is always a lot of activity going on around us. People from the panchayat come and go, and there is always some meeting or another happening. We spend our days talking to the members, collecting the crops, and trying to find the buyers. It’s not always easy and we have to learn everything as we go. We don't use any fancy marketing talk or have a "vision" that we tell everyone about. We just want to make sure we can sell our grain and vegetables for a fair price. We use simple notebooks to keep our records and we meet whenever we can. Raisen is our home and we are proud of the work we do in the fields. It’s just about survival and making things a little bit better for the next generation of women in our villages. We keep it practical and simple.
