Aatm Nirbhar Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited is located on the Janpad Panchayatnadan Road in Ichhawar. Our group is made up of women from the local area who are involved in farming. It started because we wanted to have more of a say in how our produce is handled and sold. The office is a simple place where the CEO and others manage the daily tasks. It is often a bit noisy with everyone talking at once, but that is how we get things done. We deal with the crops that grow well in the Ichhawar soil. Sometimes we have to deal with bad weather or prices that do not stay steady, but we stick together. Being on the main road makes it easier for people to find us. We spend a lot of time on the phone or meeting with other farmers who want to join in. There is always a lot of paperwork to do, which isn't the fun part, but it is necessary. We do not have a corporate background, we just know what it is like to work the land. Every day is different depending on the season. Sometimes we are busy with seeds, and other times it is all about the harvest. We just want to make sure the women here have a fair chance to succeed with their farming. It is a slow process, but we are moving forward.
