Sonajori Agrofed Farmers Producer Company Limited is located over in Saisahanspur at Lorso’s. We are basically just a bunch of neighbors who farm for a living and decided we could do more if we worked together. It started with a few conversations while working the fields and eventually, we made it official. Farming around here has its ups and downs. Some years are great and some years we just try to get by. By forming this company, we share the load. We buy what we need in bulk to save a few rupees and we try to find better ways to sell our produce. It’s not always easy to manage everything, especially the paperwork part. None of us were trained in offices. We’re more comfortable with soil and tools. But we sit down at Lorso’s place and we get it done. It is important for our village that we stay together. We don't use big words or have a marketing team. It’s just us. We know every person who is part of this group. We see each other at the market and in the street. This company is our way of making sure the next generation doesn't have it as hard as we did. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s honest living and we are okay with that. There is no secret to what we do, just a lot of sweat and some help from each other. We are just farmers who joined hands.
