Aftab Fruit Company

Aftab Fruit Company has its spot in Bar Village. It is in the Raipur Tehsil area, right by the power house. Most days start pretty early, usually before the sun is all the way up. You can hear the trucks pulling in and the guys starting to move the wooden crates around. It gets pretty loud with all the shouting and the engines running. The power house next door hums all the time, so you kind of get used to that background noise after a few days. The office is just a small room with some old chairs and a desk that has seen better days. We keep the registers there and try to stay cool when the heat gets bad in the afternoon. There is always dust on the floor because of the trucks coming off the main road, but we sweep it out every morning. Sometimes the fruit isn't ready on time or the transport gets stuck, so we just sit around and talk. We have been in this spot for a long time now. Most of the people working here live in the village or just a short walk away. We don't have any fancy signs or big lights. People just know where we are because they see the stacks of fruit and the activity near the power house. It is a simple life and a simple business. We just do the work and go home when the sun goes down.
