Our place is at Plot No. F-240 in the Palara Industrial Area. If you’ve ever been out this way, you know it’s mostly just trucks and dust everywhere. We deal with steel, so there’s always the sound of metal clanging against metal. It’s not a quiet job by any means. We spend most of our day out in the shed or checking the inventory in the yard. The sun gets really hot on the corrugated roof, so we drink a lot of tea to stay going. We’ve been here since the industrial area was a bit smaller than it is now. Dealing with steel is heavy work, and your clothes always end up with those orange rust stains or just general grease. We don't have a fancy office with leather chairs. It’s just a simple desk with a bunch of ledgers and a computer that’s seen better days. Customers usually call us or just drop by in their lorries to pick up what they need. We try to keep the stock moving so nothing sits around for too long. It’s a straightforward business. We buy the steel, we stack it, and we sell it. There isn't much more to it than that. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit around waiting for the lights to flicker back on. It’s just life in the industrial zone, and we are quite used to it.
